The Dreamtones are a jazz trio based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. A collaboration of Daniel Anderson, Austin Forbes and Jonathan Hussey who play all the standards, have a passion to write music and perform.

Daniel Anderson began playing guitar at the age of 9 years old. He is currently pursuing a degree in music business with a minor in jazz studies at Lee University.

Daniel's first real encounter with jazz music came at the age of 12 when he was given a copy of Miles Davis' masterpiece Kind of Blue. Riveted by emotion of the "cool jazz" approach to improv, he began to teach himself guitar. Major influences include: Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Mike Stern and Pat Metheny.

Austin Forbes studied bass at Atlanta Institute of Music. After graduating in the fall of 2011, he moved back to Charlotte and began teaching guitar and bass.

Austin has over 10 years of musical experience and draws on influences ranging from Motown to Tom Petty.

Jonathan Hussey began playing drums onstage at a very early age and has performed in various professional settings over the past 7 years. More recently, he graduated from Atlanta Institute of Music after studying jazz among other various forms of percussion.

Jonathan draws influence from various drummers including Benny Greb, Stanton Moore, Max Roach, and of course Gene Krupa.
